I owe my main love and appreciation for bruschetta to a summer spent studying abroad in Italy while in college. The tomatoes seemed to be crisper, the bread fresher and the olive oil, well that was a whole ‘nother level of amazing. I’ve made the dish countless times since then, but was recently given a new spin on the classic to try, chicken bruschetta
I’ve made it only once before but it’s quickly become a fan favorite amongst friends. When some girlfriends came over for dinner tonight we immediately decided on this recipe. Perfect finish to a hot and humid Tuesday.
[fresh from the farmers market]
[handful of basil from my herb garden]
(yes, it’s still living. shocked? me too)
[whole grain bread goodness]
and lastly, a sunset too beautiful not to share
