I love any occasion where a cake is involved, but besides birthdays, celebrations and holidays we don’t typically have cake sitting around the house. My brother on the other hand, purchases random birthday cakes from the grocery store for no reason…. men, who understands them?
These are the most delicious, easiest little cake ball imitations. They’re snack size and will fix your cake craving in one little bite. No stick needed and you don’t have to bake an entire cake like most cake pop recipes call for. You can customize them however you like- chocolate, vanilla, etc. and they’re perfect for parties since they don’t require any utensils to enjoy them. Just grab and go!
Funfetti Cake Batter Truffles
via lauren’s latest
ingredients:
1 c. white cake mix
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. sprinkles + more for decorating
1 1/2 c. white almond bark
directions:
In a large bowl mix cake mix, flour and sugar.
Stir in melted butter, milk, vanilla and sprinkles.
Mixture should be moist and easily hold its shape when formed.
Form the dough into even balls and refrigerate 30 minutes.
Next, melt the chocolate in a double broiler or slowly in the microwave.
Dip the balls into the melted chocolate and roll around to coat.
Place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper and top with more sprinkles.
**I would suggest doubling the recipe for a group. Mine only made about 15 small truffles**

Yum — this sounds delicious! Cake isn’t generally my dessert of choice, but I’m totally willing to indulge for the sake of the frosting.

These look delicious. Whenever I am craving something sweet I end up making entirely too much and overeat, so these are a perfect comprimise!
