With football season officially kicking off this weekend, I like to make sure and have some healthy game time snacks tucked in between the buffalo chicken dips, cookies and cocktails. This dip is so easy to whip up and will (possibly) help combat all the other dips that are consumed while cheering on your favorite team. At least that’s what I tell myself… ๐Ÿ™‚
Avocado Hummus
via the lovely cupboard
ingredients:
1 can of white beans, drained and rinsed
ย (great northern is what I used, but also want to try with chickpeas)
1 avocado, cubed
juice from 1/2 a lime
1 tbsp + 1 tsp of olive oil
1/2 -1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
directions:
Blend in a food processor or high powered blender until smooth.
Serve sprinkled with cilantro and paired with warm pita, pretzel crisps or veggies.
*Next time I plan on adding garlic into the mix for added flavor
