After working last weekend straight into this week, I couldn’t be happier to see Friday arrive. It felt wonderful to be back in NYC even if it was just for work. The hustle and bustle of the city makes me smile every time I’m there. Sure, my feet ached from walking twenty-five blocks when we couldn’t get a taxi during rush hour, but it’s all part of Manhattan right? That’s what I told myself.

This weekend is going to be spent from the comfort of Atlanta. A bunch of my girlfriends and I are getting together to watch the UGA/Auburn game and heading out to try a new restaurant in town. There’s nothing better than a day that turns into night with your best friends.

I’ve always wanted to try making my own bread but don’t have the patience to let it sit for hours on end. The New Artisan Bread  has a basic, easy recipe that will have you tossing together homemade bread in no time. Other to try recipes in the book are beer cheese bread and cinnamon raisin bread. The Lemonade Cookbook  is from the popular Los Angeles cafe. Beyond amazing lemonade recipes like watermelon rosemary, it’s packed with recipes from vegetables to sweets. On my list to try: miso salmon, mac ‘n cheese (duh) and fig bars.] DSC_0045[ The Nest holiday candle is out and ready to be burned. Along with Rewined candles, these are the best!] DSC_0049[‘Tis the season when my favorite little gingerbread cookies arrive at Trader Joe’s] photo[Rockefeller Center getting festive]

Happy happy weekend friends!

*both cookbooks were c/o, but ones that I truly liked and wanted to share
