stylish tea party

Happy Friday! How was everyone’s week? It’s been a week of straight rain and clouds in Atlanta… which paired with the sun setting earlier makes it extra gloomy. This morning however I’m headed to meet my parents and brother in NYC for our yearly work tradeshow! One of my favorite things about working in the same industry as my family is that we always get to travel to these events together! It also doesn’t hurt getting to visit New York around the holidays. On my list: dinner at Eataly, squeezing in some shopping and stopping by Levain Bakery (the best!) for their insanely delicious cookies.

favorite links:

+ Nordstrom’s fall clearance sale is packed with good markdowns. It even includes my favorite wear-everywhere-pair of jeans!

+ Y’all know I love my holiday movies. Bring on the 25 days of Christmas lineup

+ The easiest pumpkin pie recipe

+ 28 things that will make you feel old. This was a serious trip down memory lane. You can bet I had a birthday party at DiscoveryZone and loved every minute of it.

+ I’m a big fan of Soludos and loving the Jason Polan collaboration. This piñata pair is too fun.

+ Most of you have likely seen Essena O’Neill’s social media outlash, but I’m really impressed with Lauren’s response. Would love to know y’alls thoughts on these two!

I’m starting to draft gift guides for the upcoming holidays and would love to know what y’all would like to see! Any certain category, person, budget, etc?

Follow along on snapchat (ateale) for a behind the scenes look at my NYC work/play weekend!

You are so lucky to get to escape this weather! It’s so awful! Good thing we have the Nordstrom sale to cheer us up! I am so guilty for having shopped it already. Have a great weekend in NYC!

Wow. That Buzzfeed article brought back memories for me. It also reminds me that I’m 35 now. Sigh. Haha. Anyways..When I was growing up we would go into NY during the holiday season and it was so beautiful. I feel like I relive it here because Chicago is also very pretty during the holiday season. We have an Eatlay here too, it’s amazing. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!! 🙂

Have fun in NYC! As far as gift guides go, I always have the most trouble shopping for men (of all ages, actually), so that would probably be my most-needed choice.
