Last weekend I had the chance to head to beautiful Primland in Virginia with three of my blogging friends – Jenny, Brittany and Paula. Located in Meadows of Dan, driving up to Primland is like stumbling across the best kept secret. The grounds, all 12,000 acres of them in the Blue Ridge Mountains, are stunning. We checked in on Friday afternoon and I love that they had afternoon tea and cookies available, before switching to a variety of wine for happy hour. It’s the little touches that impress me, and Primland was full of them.

When heading to the hotel, don’t miss treating yourself to a spa treatment! It was the perfect way to start our morning and the space is so serene. Pack your bathing suit because their heated pool and sauna looked amazing. For the more active crowd, there’s archery, horseback riding, golf and fly fishing. At night, head to the top of the lodge and checkout the star gazing. Easily one of the coolest hotel activities that I’ve seen! How fun is this Barrington duffle? It can hold so much!

The food, oh the food. We switched between breakfast at Elements, to lunch at 19th Pub and ended with dinner both nights at Elements. The delicious meals and generous staff consistently won us over. If you visit the hotel, you cannot miss booking dinner at the Chef’s table.

The four of us dined directly in-front of the kitchen and watched as they prepared each meal from a menu developed just for us. If you’re a fellow sweet tooth lover, leave room for desserts because their’s were amazing! The sommelier, Karl, was so knowledgeable and really brought out the best for the wine tastings. I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t a little painful to watch and not partake in! All for a good cause though 🙂

We had the cutest pajama nightshirts from KIP Sleepwear. They’re made in North America, 100% egyptian cotton and we had our monograms on the sleeves. They would make a great gift!

It was so nice to have actual winter weather in Virginia! This Barbour jacket was a lifesaver and one I can’t stop wearing.

xx

A huge thank you to Primland for hosting us!
