Palm Frond Decor
Hi hi! We’re one week into the new house and slowly getting everything together. The move wasn’t without problems (of course)…the gated apartment complex that we were in during the 3 month gap between our old house and moving to Charleston had 27 cars get broken into the day before we were set to move out. Both Brian and I’s car’s were 2 of the 27 and while thankfully nothing was stolen, it was still a frantic rush to get the windows repaired before the 5 hour drive. Poor Brian ended up having to make the drive with a taped up window (that then proceeded to rip open mid-drive). Our movers showed up a day late and misplaced a mirror and piece of art from Olivia’s room that we’re still trying to track down.

BUT, all that’s to say we’re here, getting settled in, and minus a few hiccups along the way, so incredibly thrilled and thankful to be living close to my family and in our favorite city. Brian has a few weeks before he starts work, so we’re knocking out some projects around the house before his schedule gets crazy again. Our neighbors have gone out of their way to introduce themselves and welcome us here and it’s been so wonderful being warmly welcomed.

While we both loved our time in Atlanta (it was so hard leaving our group of best friends), both of us agreed that it feels like we can just let out a big breath of air and just relax here. We’ve been constantly moving the past 10 years and this is the first time we don’t have to wonder which state we’ll be re-locating to next. We’re finally able to put down roots and it feels so good.

I’m working on sharing lots of home decor tidbits on Instagram and here, so please let me know if there’s anything specific that you’d like to see! Thank you so much for following along and I’m excited to bring y’all along on this new chapter.

xx
