Fall means tailgating season and lots of delicious dips, desserts and snacks to munch on during the games. I often like to try and have at least one healthy appetizer at the tailgates to make me feel like consuming all the sweets/unhealthy foods isn’t so bad (anyone else?). This past weekend for the Alabama/LSU game I decided to try Cowboy Caviar to bring to the viewing party.
The recipe was simple to pull together and could be easily customizable to your taste. I added garlic and cumin this round and plan on adding a jalapeno next time for an added kick.
I loved the way all of the fresh ingredients and dressing came together for a light and refreshing party snack. Tip: have at least 30-45 minutes to let the dip sit together in the fridge- it only gets better from there…

Yum, my parents make this dip all the time and I love it! I’m pretty much a fan of any dip / tailgating app, but pigs in a blanket and sausage balls are perfection in my book. 🙂
