Budget Friendly Beauty

There are certain beauty products that I believe in splurging on and others that I’ve found can easily be duped by drugstore items. I’m all about more bang for you buck and these products are worth every  (affordable) penny!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle: This works wonders as a deep conditioner for my hair. Sure, there are other amazing moisturizing hair masks but sometimes sitting for 15-20 minutes with it on my hair just doesn’t fit into the day. Aussie’s is very budget friendly and leaves hair silky smooth and restored.

L’oreal Everstyle Root Volume Spray: Volume at the roots makes all the difference in my opinion. It helps your roots avoid getting greasy earlier in the day by keeping the strands off your scalp and adds a much appreciated bounce to locks. This product is alcohol-free and doesn’t add any extra gunk to your scalp.

L’oreal Voluminous Mascara: This mascara does a very similar job to Benefit’s “They’re Real” and gives lashes a serious boost. I love the length that this adds and that it goes on smooth.

Garnier Beauty Balm: I’ve heard tons of hype over various beauty balms from Smashbox to Clinique. One of the top contenders? This little product by Garnier. This tinted moisturizer actually doesn’t even feel like you’re putting on makeup. It’s light, hydrating and it’s easy to wear by itself. No need to pile on  lots of powder, blush and additional concealer.

Do you have any drugstore favorites I should try?

I use that Aussie conditioner too and I love it. I can’t get enough of the smell of Aussie products either.

I completely agree with you about the 3 minute miracle! I have paid a lot more for products that have NOT left my hair as silky smooth. It’s a keeper!

I have the smashbox BB cream, but they have limited shades. I am eager to try the Garnier version when mine is gone.

I’m a big, big fan of drugstore products… Neutrogena has a concealer that I absolutely could not live without.

    Hi Ashley,
Great blog and list! I love the Aussie 3Min Miracle! I’ve used it since high school. And you can get it super inexpensive if you use the very frequent Aussie coupons!
