Every once in a while I get a craving for red meat and this steak recipe is my new favorite. The fresh  chimichurri sauce combined with the homemade steak rub gives such an amazing flavor. The rub could also be used on chicken, is simple to make and tastes so much better than any store bought seasoning that I’ve tried.
Chimichurri Sauce
via kalyn’s kitchen

ingredients:
1/2 c. finely chopped cilantro leaves
1/2 c. finely chopped parsley leaves
2 tbsp minced garlic
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tsp. red wine vinegar
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 c. olive oil

directions:
Finely chop the cilantro, parsley, and garlic, either by hand or in a food processor with steel blade.  Put ingredients into a bowl and add lemon juice, red wine vinegar, cayenne pepper and cumin and stir to combine.  Then stir in olive oil until mixture is well blended and let sit at room temperature at least 15 minutes before serving.
After grilling your steak to the desired temperature, spoon the chimichurri sauce on top while hot and serve.
