It’s funny how much you can learn about a person just by seeing what they keep in their cars, purses, etc. I always love posts where bloggers show you a glimpse into the bag and goodies that they carry around on a daily basis. The only time you’ll see me carrying a small purse is for a formal event or nighttime when a clutch is easier. Otherwise, I’m a bag lady and pack it full of essentials.
My current bag of choice is the Marc by Marc Jacobs Too Hot to Handle hobo. I try to keep it somewhat organized inside because it can quickly get out of hand and then I can’t find anything. I can’t recommend this purse enough. It’s perfect over the shoulder when you’re shopping or running around and don’t want to carry a top handle. Don’t feel like carrying a purse at all? No worries, you can use the longer strap and make it a crossbody.
This little Tory Burch pouch is the perfect storage for small items. Inside here I keep: Airborne (I take one after every flight), glucose tablets (for low blood sugar) and Advil. Stevia is the only sweetener I use, so Truvia packets are kept in my purse and car for coffee. A packet of almond butter is easy to make into a filling snack by grabbing a banana/apple and there’s always a piece of mini chocolate for when a sweet craving hits. Mini perfume samples are ideal for purses and traveling. This little one by Diptyque lasts for a while depending on how often you spritz. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh scent to re-energize me.
J.Crew makes great little leather pouches. I keep my checkbook, coupons and other random assortments inside here. In Chicago the other weekend I discovered my new favorite lotion, K Hall Designs. It smells amazing and makes your skin so soft! Two options for lip balm, another snack (duh) and an engraved business card holder are also tucked inside.
While I’m a big advocate to using recyclable bags, they’re a pain to remember to bring and lug around. Enter: baggu bags. These are one of my favorite items. They fold up and fit into a tiny little sleeve. When you need a bag while out grocery shopping or leaving Target you’ve got one conveniently stored in your purse. It even holds up to 50 lbs!
I’ve had the Kate Spade Cobble Hill Stacy wallet for a few years and love it. It’s relatively thin for a wallet and easily fits into a clutch without being bulky. Of course my trusty Ray Ban’s are never far.

I love your bag! I used to own the MBMJ Classic Q Hillier Hobo and ended up selling it because the long strap wasn’t long enough to use crossbody! Now making sure a bag can be a crossbody has become a must!

I love it when we get to see what is in other people’s bags! But you wouldn’t want to see what is in my bag cause it is frightening! Looooove your bag! I really need to get a little pouch to keep some of my stuff in. Then maybe I wouldn’t lose stuff all the time. My husband is afraid to stick his hand in my purse because I have so much stuff!
