The other day I stopped in Madewell with the intention of doing a quick return, when I of course was sucked in and had to do a quick scan of the store. Mollusk Surf Shop is a new brand that Madewell is carrying and I was instantly drawn to the super soft and cozy pieces displayed. Their zip hoodies and shirts have that perfectly worn in feel of your favorite old shirt.
The San Francisco based company started off selling t-shirts and surf boards, and has since expanded to bathing suits, shoes, accessories and clothing. Mollusk is the epitome of laid back California cool in my book. The pieces are easy to layer and offer a classic casual look that is always in style.
I love supporting companies that make products domestically like the t-shirts and sweatshirts above. The first shirt has now joined my closet and is joining my growing graphic t collection. This one however is destined to be one of my favorites with its slouchy, easy style.
HA. The phrase “quick stop at Madewell” isn’t even in my vocabulary.
