New Favorites

I’m back sharing some beauty favorites that I’ve been loving the past few months. None of these are break-the-bank purchases and can probably be found locally in a drugstore or hair salon.

1. Paul Mitchell Full Circle Leave-In Treatment and Orofluido Elixir : On my last visit to the hair salon my hairdresser taught me the trick of mixing a pump of the Paul Mitchell leave in treatment with a little bit of hair elixir. Orofluido is my tried and true favorite, but you could easily do this with Moroccan or Argan Oil. Don’t let the “curly” label deter you. It works great for any hair type and it smells absolutely amazing. The leave in prevents frizz and protects hair from any styling tools.

2. Paul Mitchell Extra- Body Daily Boost : For anyone that has thin hair or one that falls flat easily, this is a dream product. I have thin hair, but a lot of it. After trying what seemed like a zillion products, I received a sample of this one and promptly purchased the full size. It gives great lift at the roots and keeps the volume all day long.

3. Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser : When I first visited the dermatologist three years ago and she recommended Cetaphil as a face wash it’s all I used up until now. I don’t believe in spending $30+ on a face wash when the dermatologist loved ones are under $10 and do a great job. Save the money for a good night or day cream. Cetaphil is still a personal favorite, but this new one by Neutrogrena is really great. It foams up a little, unlike the Cetaphil and won’t dry up your skin.

4. St. Ives Collagen Elastin Moisturizer : For a $5 product it’s hard to believe how great this moisturizer is. It goes on easily, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. It’s serious bang for you buck since I’ve had it for months and barely put a dent in it.

Any recent beauty favorites of y’alls?

xx

Your hair sounds like mine. Very fine but I have a lot of it so it never holds curl or volume. I’ll have to check out the Paul Mitchell serum to give my roots some lift!

My hair is very fine so I’m definitely going to look into the Paul Mitchell serum!

Also, where do you get your hair cut in Atlanta? I desperately need a trim but I don’t know where to go…too many options and I’m paranoid about getting a bad haircut.

My dermatologist recommended cetaphil too, so that’s my go-to, but I buy Origins Frothy Face Wash because I love that it gets foamy! Unfortunately the origins wash is $20 so I have to use it sparingly! Sounds like I need to give the Neutrogena option a try. 🙂 Thanks for all of the suggestions!

I’ll have to try these! Just picked up a Dove hair spray last night at CVS. Can’t remember the name but it’s a pink and silver can and the smell is fantastic, without being too sticky or heavy.

I have that same Nuetrogena face wash too. I’ve also been using St Ive’s face wash, apricot scrub and lotion for years too!

I need that Paul Mitchell Body Daily Boost since I also have very thin hair and a lot of it.

Good to hear that St. Ives Moisturizer is good. I always worry it will be too greasy. I’m totally going to just try it for that price. My new fav find is Neutrogenas deep wrinkle serum. You don’t need it yet, but when you get a little older it completely DOES minimize wrinkles! I’m trying to hold off on Botox as long as I can! LOL!

Great budget picks! And sounds like all the things I could use in my routine as well, now if I could only find something comparable where I live… 🙂

I love the Paul Mitchell body boost. One of the best thing that works for the frizzies is the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi hyrdocream whip.
