scarf, sweater, booties, gloves (tech friendly)
Hellloooo December! Crazy to think 2013 is almost over and Christmas is right around the corner. Decorating for the holidays is one of my favorite parts. This week we’re getting a tree and you can bet festive music will be playing non-stop from here on out. The past two weekends I spent in the midwest- Chicago and St. Louis. For Chicago I packed lots of neutrals that could carry over into my STL trip. The gloves from J.Crew are iphone compatible and were lifesavers when trying to use my phone during the 12 degree mornings.
Chicago was packed with delicious treats and my friend Caitlin made sure we stopped at all of the best. We started Friday with the richest hot chocolate that I’ve ever had (definitely split one if you go!) and light as air homemade marshmallows at Hot Chocolate. Brunch Sunday morning included mini donuts and was followed by my new addiction, Jeni’s icecream. All sweets were shared so we didn’t overdo it.
One of the best parts of blogging is getting to know friends all around the world. It’s even more fun when you get to meet in person and become friends. Caitlin (on the left) is my friend from college and we met the adorable Maya for brunch Sunday. For everyone that reads her blog, she’s just as fun in real life!

Thanksgiving in St. Louis was spent with B and his family. We were able to facetime with my family in Charleston and have the best of both worlds. The holiday break was all about relaxing and spending time together. We saw the new Hunger Games movie (loved it!), enjoyed a dinner at our favorite italian restaurant and started on some Christmas gift shopping. All in all, a wonderful break.
How was y’alls?
xx
Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving weekend! I think I might need to take a trip to Chicago just to try that Hot Chocolate! I own the same J. Crew sweater in your last pic and wear it so often! I own it in more than one color actually!
Those marshmallows look amazing! Sounds like a great weekend!
