Oh my word. What a week to be in Atlanta.
I’m sure most of you have seen the news and craziness surrounding the winter storm and all the issues it caused for us. People were stuck in their cars for over 24 hours with no food or drink, over 900 flights were canceled and the amount of car accidents is still rising. For you northerners I know you find it hard to believe that 2.5 inches could essentially shut down a city, but when you only have a handful of snow plows, the roads aren’t treated and everyone in Atlanta drives their own car, it’s easy to see it all come to a head. Through all the chaos there were hundreds of people and facebook groups focused on helping out anyone who was stranded. It was a city that completely represented southern hospitality and I’m so proud to call it home.
On that note, I’ve had a severe case of cabin fever while the roads unthawed and will be spending the next few days anywhere but my apartment. We’re wedding dress shopping for one of my good friends and then celebrating another friend at her engagement party. A weekend filled with lots and lots of love and hopefully warmer weather.

Wasn’t it so crazy?! I got cabin fever, too, and had to get out and go for a walk. I’m a teacher, so we were out for 3 days. It’s going to be really hard going back to school Monday. I’ve enjoyed the days off! 🙂
Happy February!

Wedding dress shopping sounds like it would be the perfect way to end the cabin fever. It was crazy what happened in Atlanta and Birmingham. Glad you were safe.
