Ever since high school I was a big CHI fan for straighteners. When my latest one finally kicked the curb and broke, I decided to branch out and try another brand. Enter Misikko. Their professional hair straighteners were featured in Marie Claire and Redbook magazines and have a strong following, so I knew I was in good hands. Since styling tools don’t come cheap I tested out the HANA 1” for two months before posting a review on it.

Some of my favorite features:

+ The HANA is so much lighter than my old Chi straightener. When you have lots of layers in your hair like I do, a heavy styling tool only makes the process seem longer.
+ Safe to use on damp hair
+ If a styling tool doesn’t let me control the temperature setting, I’m not using it. This one lets you adjust the heat between 140-450 degrees F and heats up in seconds.
+ Misikko offers a 2 year warranty

To note:

+ If you’re used to wide ceramic plates, this make take some getting used to since it’s only 1”. They do offer larger sizes if you like those better.

A bonus feature that comes with the straightener is a heat proof pouch that’s perfect for traveling. On days when I’m rushing to get ready before a flight, it’s perfect to fix your hair, store in the pouch and pack it in your suitcase without worrying about the heat.

+This post was sponsored by Misikko, but all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the companies that make T&T possible!

Next time I’m in the market for a new straightener I will check this one out! I’ve always been a chi girl as well.

I’ve got that straightener too, but mine’s not the cute blue like yours! Adorable.

Every time I think of going to another brand of straightener I feel like I’m cheating on a boyfriend, silly I know. I would love a lighter styling tool, and since big red is going to kick the bucket any day now I may have to think about it seriously.

Liking this review! Lately, my CHI just hasn’t been cutting it — and my hair almost looks fried instead of sleek after using it. May have to give this one a try!

I love that it’s safe to use on damp hair, that’s definitely not a feature that my current straightening iron offers! I totally love that it comes with a heat proof pouch, that’s so handy when you need to quickly do your hair and then pack it away!

Thanks for the intro. I have never owned a flat iron but will consider this one if I ever venture to get one.

I have the Hana blowdryer and that baby does NOT disappoint! The best I’ve tried on the market so I’m sure this straightener isn’t far behind! I’ll DEF check them out!

Hope you’ll visit for my latest custom design!

Well now I’ll have to try these products! I have a Chi hairdryer and straightner and I love them, but it always works out that my products die right after the warranty expires.
