How is next weekend already Labor Day Weekend? I’m so excited since we’re taking a family trip to Napa and Sonoma to celebrate my dad’s birthday! We’ve been once before, a few years ago, but are trying almost all new spots this time. Brian and I are flying into LA a few days earlier, renting a car and driving up the coast for a little California road trip! We’re spending a night in Santa Barbara, Carmel and then meeting my parents and brother in San Francisco before driving to Napa. Driving the Pacific Coast Highway is something I’ve always wanted to do and I’m so excited to get to do it with Brian, who has also never done it! Since I know a handful of y’all have made the drive before, visited those cities, or are from the area, I’d love any and all recommendations. The restaurant you still think about, the hike that gave you the prettiest views or secret spots that were hidden gems. Send them our way pretty please!
I’m coincidentally also heading to LA today for the next few days for a fun event with Netflix (!!), so follow along for some fun behind the scene snaps!
xx
I am so glad you’re doing this because this is a trip we’re planning for next year!! I can’t wait to hear about all the details…seriously if you want to email me an itinerary after the fact that would be great – I can just copy everything you did because I know it will be perfect!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

In San Francisco, Tacolicious is a must visit (order the carnitas tacos!); If you like mac & cheese, there’s the most amazing restaurant in Oakland called Home Room that’s always a stop for my husband and I when we’re there!
Have fun! It’s such a beautiful drive!
I’m so jealous! That trip also is on my bucket list, so I’ll be anxious to get all your recommendations and tips. Have fun at your event this week!
Girl, I nearly died when I read this, because my husband and I are taking almost an identical trip. We leave at the end of the month and start in LA, and are driving up the coast and staying in Carmel, Big Sur (unless the fires don’t stop), and the SF. What a crazy coincidence! This has been a major bucket list trip for us for a while, so we are way excited 🙂
How fabulous, you are going to have the BEST time and can’t wait to read all about it!!
Ohhhh, drive along the coast sounds so neat! Can’t wait to hear about your trip now and then!
That is the best drive in the world! You definitely have to make a stop at the Madonna Inn!
Ummm amazing! I want to hear more about this netflix trip! So fun! Jealous of all your travels!!! xo
