Dry shampoo, the ultimate beauty tool. There are so many great options on the market that I can’t help but wonder where all these were when I was in college? We used baby powder (it didn’t blend nearly as easily as the below options….) and thought that was a good solution! Usually I wash my hair every other day, or every two days if I have it styled. I’ve been using this one the past month and really liking it! I twist my hair up into a bun on nights when I have it styled, add a few sprays of dry shampoo the next morning and touch up a few pieces before heading out the door. Does anyone else have certain dry shampoos they save for nicer occasions and other ones you turn to when you just need a low-key fix? Below I’ve rounded up all of my tried and true favorites and usually rotate between them all, depending on the day and agenda!
BEST DRY SHAMPOO’S AT EVERY PRICE POINT:
$$$$ Living Proof Perfect Day Dry Shampoo: hands down my favorite spray dry shampoo. I spray this on my roots, wait 30 seconds and then massage/brush into my roots. It actually cleans my hair and leaves it looking like I just washed it. It’s by no means the cheapest, but it works so well that I always repurchase once I start running low. Paraben and sulfate free.
$$$$ Aveda Shampure Dry Shampoo: anytime I have next-day hair that’s styled with my wand and still has loose waves, I always reach for this powder version. I gently mist it into my roots and massage it in. I’ve had the same bottle for months and it’s still going strong — a little goes a long way. If you’re a fan of Aveda’s scents, you’ll probably like this one too! Paraben and sulfate free
$$$ Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo: this option smells divine and has hints of jasmine, sandalwood and Madagascar vanilla without being too overwhelming. Drybar’s version gives good volume and blends easily into my roots. If I need an afternoon hair pick me up I reach for this one.
$$ Dove Refresh + Care Dry Shampoo: I’m exited to finally find a drugstore dry shampoo option that works well and smells so good! This one gives major volume and is a total price performer at only $4.
$ Batiste Dry Shampoo: majority of you have probably tried Batiste, and for the price it can’t be beat. I usually use this one on days when I’m headed to the gym or plan on lounging/keeping it casual around the house. It gets the job done, but wouldn’t be the one I reach for for a full day of meetings, ya feel me?
Now spill! My roots and I would love to know what your favorite dry shampoos are!

I’m the same with Batiste. It’s good for something casual but definitely not the best. I need to try the Dry Bar one still!

Perfect for an after tennis touch up 🙂
I’ve been itching to try the Living Proof dry shampoo – I’ve heard so many good things! I also just recently tried the Dove, and I agree that it’s just slightly a step above Batiste!

Living Proof is my jam — nothing actually “cleans” the hair like LP’s version!
I’ve been using the Kristen Ess dry shampoo from Target and I like it for a more affordable option! I want to get my hands on that Aveda one though… 😉
Side note – how do you like your Dry Bar wand? I need a new one and not even sure where to begin! xx

Ohhh I forgot about that line! Need to add that to my next Target run! I really like the Drybar wand so far — the tapered barrel is what sold me!
I seriously need a dry shampoo for my curls. Great roundup girl!

It smells so good doesn’t it?! Drybar makes great products!
Another inexpensive one is Hask! The charcoal one is great! I find it works as well as living proof at a third of the cost!
I have yet to find a dry shampoo that I LOVE. I need to try that Living Proof one!
