Bringing y’all along on our decorating journey is something I am so excited about! Since we’ve been moving every few years for Brian’s training, and therefore renting, it’s been hard to get motivated to really invest and decorate our temporary space the way I’ve always wanted to. Now that we’re able to put down roots my mind is on overdrive trying to organize everything I have planned for our home and in which order to tackle them in.
We sold some of our previous furniture that wouldn’t work in this house and have ordered a new dining table ( still searching for chairs I love) from Charleston store Celadon (one of my absolute favorite local stores) and I’m on the hunt for a great sectional sofa that can withstand an energetic puppy and a baby climbing all over it. Our larger pieces are going to be neutral, but I plan on bringing in some bold color with throw pillows, accent pieces, art work and fun wallpaper. My interior design style gravitates towards contemporary coastal and I always aim for our space to be inviting and relaxing.
For our front porch I plan on filling these hanging baskets with colorful florals and drinking out of these outdoor glasses for summer dinners under these string lights. I’m obsessed with this large seagrass basket that I have next to our fireplace. It’s the perfect spot to store cozy blankets or even Olivia’s toys. So many of you messaged me about this Ninja coffee system that makes a single serving cup and a pot of coffee. Definitely looking into this for our kitchen!
Can’t wait to share more as it comes together!

Me too!! Want it all 🙂
WOW that coffee maker!!! That is pretty serious business right there! 🙂 We use those hanging flower baskets every year they are great. Have you looked at Arhaus furniture for a couch? We bought a new one from there last year and it is a neutral color. Just wanted to share. 🙂 I am sure that your new home will look beautiful once you have added all of your finishing touches! 🙂

That coffee maker is legit – looks like a really good one!!
Love all of these things! I cannot wait to see how it all comes together! Decorating a new house can be so intimidating (and expensive!)… I wish you could have decorated mine for me haha!
I LOVE those melamine plates-they look so fancy & like “real” plates. Definitely need those for get-togethers on our back porch!
