It’s that time of the year! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale kicks off today for all cardholders and opens to the public on July 20th. After shopping at Nordstrom for forever I finally signed up for the credit card three years ago and it’s been such a good decision! For all purchases made you earn “points” which then turn into Nordstrom “notes” that you can use towards future purchases. If you’re already a Nordstrom shopper it’s a no brainer to earn points for purchases. You get one day a year for triple points and I always use mine on the first day of this sale!
I typically do all of my shopping for this sale online to avoid the madness of the stores and to be able to see everything (the Atlanta stores never seemed to have the biggest selections!) at one time. I typically end up making multiple orders, but that’s the beauty of Nordstrom — free returns!
BEST STAPLES TO SAVE ON:
Bras/Underwear: not the most exciting thing to buy, but this sale is the best time to stock up on my favorites like this bra (I have in multiple colors, runs true to size) and this bra that feels like you’re not wearing anything and of course the most comfortable underwear of all time.
Denim: the best pairs of jeans always seem to sell out first and rarely get re-stocked. Favorites from first look include the perfect pair of ankle jeans, cropped black jeans ($52!), this amazing straight leg pair
Sweaters: this cardigan ($31!) in any color, this pullover (Nordstrom couldn’t keep it in stock last year) , one of my favorite relaxed fit cardigans
Shoes: majorly obsessed with these knee high boots, ordering these open toe mules, an awesome deal on running shoes, these over the knee boots look like Stuart Weitzman at a fraction of the price! Oh! Just found these nude flats and they’ll seriously go with everything, the essential simple white sneaker
Lounge: this circle cardigan sells out every year and feels like butter on, these pajamas make the perfect gift (SO soft- also great for new moms!), one of my favorite sleep shirts
Basics: an $11 everyday tee with the perfect amount of slouch, pair these silk cami’s under a chunky sweater, cardigan or blazer, this striped long sleeve tee is a must get – soft, relaxed fit and made for layering. I have 2 pairs of these high waisted leggings and can’t recommend them enough. I wear them all the time — with sweaters and boots in the fall, to the gym, traveling!
