I have such fond memories of back to school shopping when I was growing up. I loved getting to pick out new shoes, clothes and all the school supplies! I re-stocked the girls with a few essentials – the best fold over ruffle socks, new hair bows & headbands (because they inevitably get lost/dirty) and an adorable floral backpack for Elle since she’s joining Olivia at her “big girl school”.

I get the same three shoes each year — a pair of navy and red mary janes (my go-to style for Olivia since she likes to put them on herself) and t-straps (for Elle). For plain white shoes I never stray from the easy to clean and wipeable leather Keds for both girls. I couldn’t pass up these cute velcro sneakers too! A major Veja look for less.

For simple shirts perfect with skirts, short and dresses I love ordering a few of the super soft pima short and long sleeve scallop collars. This style , this ruffle collar and  this style are sure to get major wear (long sleeve version for fall). This set of leggings is my-go and they hold up so well. You can’t beat the price either!

For first day sweetness I love the idea of this dusty blue pinafore dress paired with a plain white blouse or this ruffle collar blouse. An etsy search led me to this first/last day pennant and I love that it’s one you can use yearly and the front is for the first day and the back is for the last. Keeps it easy!
