Summer Fridays just hit differently, don’t they? I love the more relaxed vibe the Friday at the end of a work week brings and for the next couple of months I’m going to do my roundup of recent favorite things on this post. Cooking, reading, eyeing, buying, etc!
cooking: as always, I share our weekly menus on Mondays, but others I’ve made lately are this greek yogurt peanut butter dip (perfect for after camp – the girls loved with apples & graham cracker sticks), we all loved this summer dinner and this homemade pimento cheese is a great make ahead for lunches throughout the week.
reading: you can find my summer reading list here, but I’m working my way through The Summer of Songbirds now and liking it so far! Her Slightly South series was a fun summer read as well. For magazines I really enjoy Frederic for all things beautiful interiors.
eyeing: the ‘tutti fruitti’ set is calling my name for an upcoming trip and I love these husband shirts to toss over a bathing suit. ‘ASHLEY-15 ‘ saves you 15% site wide. A classic pair of lined, white linen shorts. This runner rug for the hallway by our bedroom — I need to strike while it’s on sale! A super chic set that’s perfect to wear now into those hot early fall months we have in the south.
buying: truly obsessed with this candle , these stripe pants + tank for travel and/or lounging, this raffia hat is adorable and will be so easy to travel with! I have a bigger sized head and the s/m fit great, so I’d say it runs big.
beauty: This image has me wanting to try ‘soap nails‘. It looks like a great, neutral nail. Can’t say enough good things about ‘weekend skin‘ in warm glow. It reminds me of drunk elephant’s d-bronzi, but better. All items I love from the brand are rounded up here. Other clean beauty that has really impressed me is this talc-free powder (bye bye oily skin!) and their hydra bronzer.
kids: these crochet espadrilles have been a hit, a favorite coverup/summer play dress, this craft that both girls love and can do independently, a game we play over and over
