Hi! I really want to carve out time to try and get 2-3 blog posts up a week… some weeks might be better than others, but I miss writing in this space and sharing more in detail here than I’m able to on instagram! I thought this new series could be a fun one to start sharing what I’m cooking, reading, listening to, eyeing, etc.

the weekly rundown:

reading: I like to switch off between a self-help/business book and a fun read and currently those two are The Magic of Thinking Big (loving!and Christmas in Peachtree Bluff. I love the Peachtree Bluff series and can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for an easy beach read type of book.

listening: Emily from the How’d She Do That? podcast always has the best guests on! For music one of my best friends recommended the Surfrider Hotel’s Malibu playlist and I find myself turning it on as easy background music.

watching: we started Archive 81 on Netflix last week and are currently 4 episodes in. It’s a thriller/mystery that hooked us after the first episode. It’s a little spooky, so be warned.

cooking: I’m a huge fan of making a big pot of soup and having it for leftovers throughout the week or storing in individual servings in the freezer for another time. This cold-fighting couscous chicken soup is a favorite for the winter months and packed with good for you ingredients like leeks, turmeric, fresh lemon and ginger. This warm Brussels crunch salad is on my list to make this week!

wearingthe recent cold weather has been the perfect opportunity to wear my new shearling boots. They are SO comfortable and warm! I was initially drawn to the light tan colorway, but glad I went with the black since I have tan uggs and these look great with black leggings. They’ll be perfect for Aspen in a few weeks! I found them to run TTS; normally a size 8 and ordered a 38. Along the cold weather lines, this turtleneck remains a favorite and is so soft! Layers perfectly under a blazer as well. I have in size small.

on my wish list: this beautiful blue and white dress, a smaller version of my favorite handbag for times when I’m just carrying the essentials; adore this color for year round wear! I also love this easy woven bag and can picture it with white dresses all summer long.

xx
