One of my favorite parts of the fall season is all the oyster roasts that take place around the lowcounty. Before moving to South Carolina I was never a fan of oysters… they just weren’t that big of a deal in Atlanta. That all changed once I moved to the coast and now have some of the freshest seafood readily available. This past weekend was the Charitable Society Fall Oyster Benefit out at Bowen’s Island restaurant. It was the perfect way to end the weekend- filled with lots of oysters, vegetable chili, live music and drinks from Palmetto Brewery and Firefly Vodka.
The pictures don’t do justice to the beautiful scenery around us, but here’s a peek into the fun event!
