Now that it’s September and fall is around the corner, it’s back to crockpot recipes; bring on the soups, chili and easy meals. If you’re a fan of mac and cheese (and really, who isn’t?) this recipe is going to be your new favorite. It’s great for tailgates, gifts or to feed a large crowd since it makes so much. Whenever I have a veggie plate I love having some mac and cheese along side it.
Crockpot Mac & Cheese
via short stop blog
ingredients:
16 oounces cooked macaroni noodles
16 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, cubed
16 ounces Colby cheese, cubed
16 ouces Velvetta, cubed
1 stick of butter (we did 3/4 cup.) but into slice
16 ounces milk
salt & pepper, to taste
directions:
Spray your crockpot lightly with cooking spray. Layer 1/3 of the macaroni in the bottom. Layer half of the cheese, butter, salt & pepper. Repeat and end with the last 1/3 cup of macaroni on top. Pour milk over mixture.
Cook on low for 4 hours and stir halfway through.
