ghiradelli

Life often gets crazy, as I’m sure most of y’all can relate. Through all the traveling, work stresses and endless emails, I’ve learned that taking time for yourself is the best way to be able to keep up with demands and keep your head on straight. One of my goals for 2014 was to recognize and enjoy life’s little luxuries. Sometimes all it takes is a bubble bath with candles or a sweet treat, and I’m refreshed and ready to go.

Last night I poured a glass of wine, grabbed a few pieces of Ghirardelli Intense Dark chocolate and a stack of magazines to unwind with. There’s something to be said about turning off the television, putting away the computers and just relaxing, disconnected. When deliciously smooth chocolate is involved, that makes it even better.

What works best to help y’all unwind and enjoy the moment?
I shared mine on Instagram yesterday and I’d love to see how y’all savor the moment. Upload a picture with your favorite pairing and Ghirardelli Intense Dark chocolate to Instagram with the hashtag #IntenseDark. Don’t have an account? No worries, you can upload your picture here while getting inspiration from everyone else’s images.

We have a chocolate truffle after dinner every night! And yes taking time for oneself is so important.

Not a big sweets fan, but definitely wine + a good book or magazine = heaven!

Lovely post and I have also made the same pact with myself this year…I’m spending more time reading books, because i love reading but seem to have neglected it as time has gone by! Definitely enjoying getting back into it though…and chocolate and wine also helps, obviously 🙂 Danielle x

I am right there with you about enjoying the little luxuries in life! Last night after a teribly long day when I felt like I had so much to do but was not making any progress, I took a step back and decided to do something for my self. For 20 minutes I took a break and painted my nails, and just those few moments of peace, quiet and distraction really helped me recenter my self and have a better outlook on getting through the rest of my work! (maybe next time I take a break like that, I will have to follow your lead and add some yummy chocolate into the mix!)

Ghirardelli dark chocolate is the best! Unfortunately they are also somewhat to blame for me gaining a bit more than my recommended amount during my first pregnancy lol! Their dark chocolate truffles are irresistible.

I completely agree! Sometimes I like to come home get a glass of wine and read a book and not even turn on the tv. It makes for such a relaxing evening!
