Peanut Butter Banana Waffle
I’ve gotten a lot of requests to share my favorite healthy meals and snacks and I thought it’d be fun to break down some of my recent go-to’s with y’all here! I love sharing what I’m cooking throughout the week on Instagram Stories, but this post will help keep their shelf life longer than just an Instagram story or highlight.

At least once a week I have a toasted waffle for either breakfast or a mid-morning snack. I usually use Vans or 365 (Whole Foods) brand and/or look for ones with the cleanest ingredients, whole grains and a good fiber count. I’ll top with almond butter, 1/2 a mashed banana and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Favorite Healthy Snack Bars
I always have at least two different snack bars in my bag at all time. I stick to minimal and recognizable ingredients.
Some of my favorites are: RXBAR, LARABAR, Pressed Bars, Perfect Bar

Other Go-To Snacks:
+ organic string cheese – usually 365 brand or Trader Joe’s
+ almond butter packets with a banana or apple
+ Siggi’s or Icelandic yogurt w. berries, almond butter and a sprinkle of granola – I’ve been buying the plain Trader Joe’s Icelandic yogurt and it packs 22 g of protein! Sweeten plain yogurt with cinnamon or a drizzle of honey to avoid lots of added, unnecessary sugar
+ Mashed avocado on Trader Joe’s whole grain crispbread – if you haven’t tried these crackers you’re missing out! They have 4 g of protein and 3 g of fiber. I usually drizzle with a tiny bit of olive oil and a sprinkle of TJ’s everything but the bagel seasoning
+ I love re-creating Starbuck’s protein boxes: apple slices, a hard boiled egg, cheese slices and grapes

    I love Larabars. I was SO shocked (and kind of horrified) at some of the ingredients in some of the bars out there. Those RXBARS are good too. I am going to look for those crackers next time I’m at Trader Joe’s too. Thank you for sharing! 🙂

    I started eating the crisp bread because of the fiber count too! These are great snack ideas, especially the waffle with almond butter!

    These are all such great ideas! I love Van’s waffles and string cheese! I try to stay away from bars, but will have to look for these because it would be so nice to have something like this on hand and like you said, to keep in a bag!

    We go through string cheese and That’s It bars like crazy! Waffle is such a good idea!
