One of my goals for 2020 is to continue focusing on purchasing only items I really, truly love. If it’s not an immediate “YES!” then it’s not something I need to keep. Having a collection of quality clothes that I love reaching for each week makes the mornings run smoother and simply makes putting outfits together fun. You don’t need 8 basic white tees. Find two you feel good in and rely on them.
I came across Alice Walk’s Instagram account a month ago and love what they stand for, their timeless collection of pieces and the process of bringing them to life. The brand is a made to order design studio, but also offers a well curated ‘essentials‘ and ‘signature‘ collections that are quick ship pieces. With the current trend of fast fashion everywhere, I really appreciate high quality pieces that can withstand the test of time — the items you reach for year after year and that are just so well made. We thought it would be fun to team up and feature one of their beautifully tailored jackets and a closet staple- the crewneck tee!
Winters in the south are relatively mild and while I would love to have a collection of beautiful, heavy coats, it’s just not necessary. The tailored jacket is pure perfection. What I love best is that it can be worn with a nice dress for formal events, or with jeans for casual days. It’s meant to be worn open (there isn’t a closure) and pairs perfectly with their crewneck tee. The best, best ,best white tee! It has just the right amount of stretch, isn’t see-through and is a fabulous layering piece.
If you’re a bride-to-be or have a formal event on the horizon, I’m obsessed with their scoop neck tulip dress and circle-skirt dress! Both are so incredibly chic and are pieces you could wear again and again.
