A beach vacation in the middle of snow and ice storms is good for the soul and needs to be a yearly tradition. I’m back from a mini-getaway to Seaside, FL and feeling refreshed, recharged and ready to go. There’s just something so calming about waking up and being able to put your toes in the sand. It wasn’t warm enough for us to pull out the bathing suits, but we had a blast renting bikes, strolling through the seaside shops and indulging in lots of wine and good food. To top it all off, two of our close friends got engaged on the way down and we were all there to celebrate with them (congrats Danielle and William!).

fireplaceOur nights consisted of posting up fireside and cheering on team USA.

Now it’s back to the real world, but I have a feeling spring is right around the corner..

ahhh yes. so nice!! Seaside is close to home (only 1.5 hrs), yet always feels like I’m so far away! It’s such a great getaway even if it’s not warm enough to enjoy the beaches!!
